Originally from the Bay Area, Olivia is a graduate of UC Berkeley who studied Political Economy. It was through this coursework that she developed working knowledge of all of the economic barriers to success that people of color face, and this knowledge inspired a deep passion for change. 

Olivia has significant experience with research and writing. She was a Staff Writer with the Berkeley Economic Review throughout college and also helped research and write reports for a local non-profit her senior year. She believes writing is a critical avenue for change, and with that in mind Olivia is looking forward to joining Empower to Change’s team as a Contributing Writer. She not only looks forward to continuing to think, learn, and write about critical topics in the pursuit of improved race and money relations in America but also hopes to help spark change.
