e2c is a youth-led, multi-racial solidarity, intersectional, anti-racist, anti-establishment platform that's working to reimagine political system that’s transformative and center the needs and communal justice for BIPOC.

Education-based Strategies

 

Advocating for increased civic engagement in our state, local, and national legislature. Our goal is to partner with political and professional organizations to advocate for increased civics education, utilizing Restorative Justice practices from K-12.

DEI Tech Activism

 

Tech companies are some of the most wealthy corporations today, yet the makeup of its workforce substantially lacks racial diversity that mirrors that of the San Francisco Bay Area's racial demographic. According to TechCrunch's 2019 article, "The future of diversity and inclusion in tech," "tech companies are inching along at a glacial pace toward diverse representation and inclusion."

Given Empower to Change's proximity to Silicon Valley, we want to open a space for young people of color who work in tech and are eager to make this space more diverse, equitable, and inclusive by leading restorative discussions on how the tech community can foster more diversity and inclusion and partner with leaders from the public sector to dynamically change and influence the way the space manages its hiring and retention practices.
