Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, Ramya is the daughter of two first-generation immigrants from India. Her love of books and reading growing up is what encouraged her to start writing and foster her interest in writing for a variety of academic fields and projects. Ramya is currently a sophomore at the University of Washington in Seattle, looking to earn a BS in Mathematics with a minor in Informatics, and is very excited to pursue her love of math as well as her love of writing through e2c. 

As a contributing writer, Ramya is looking to shed light on the struggles of marginalized demographics in spaces related to STEM/academia, as well as focus on her passion for immigration reform, both of which she has personal experience with as a woman of color.
