Emily earned her Bachelor’s degree in Human Communications with a concentration in Professional and Practical Ethics from CSU Monterey Bay. She spent much of her collegiate career participating in various theatrical productions relating to women’s and LGTBQ+ rights. In this space, her passions for social justice and storytelling intertwined to cultivate connection through personal experiences and political activism.

Since graduation, Emily has committed to learning her indigenous ancestral language of CHamoru and has contributed articles and creative pieces to various CHamoru, Pasifika, and AAPI publications. In addition, Emily worked as lead Media Communications chair on a historic Seaside City Council grassroots campaign in electing the city’s youngest Latino candidate, Alexis García-Arrazola, into office.

Emily is overwhelmed with gratitude to join the e2c team and looks forward to creating a lasting impact through this work and beyond.
